SCOPE OF WORK

For several years, during employment (as Industrial Designer) at Pezy Netherlands I worked on design and development of baby strollers for a client named Dorel Europe / Dorel Juvenile. I mostly worked on working out the mechanisms in CAD, implement design input and design of some parts of the babystrollers.

THE QUINNY YEZZ

Baby strollers usually contain a lot of metal bars in where the hinge points are made out of plastic parts. This baby stroller however, the Quinny Yezz, consist of a full plastic frame however (made from IXEF) which is unique for babystrollers. The Quinny Yezz only weighs 5kg!

FOLDING AND LOCKING SIMULTANOUSLY

Folding in three dimensions (normally in baby strollers the top half rotates inward while, at the same time, the sides close inwards and vice versa!) means every part folds at the same speed reaching full foldability at the same time after which several locks activate at the same time to keep everything folded. At one press of a button, usually on the handle bar, the product can unfold again.
